Recently, the Excavator Branch of China Construction Machinery Industry Association released the latest data. In May 2018, the main machine manufacturers included in the statistics sold 19313 excavator products, an increase of 71.3% compared with the same period last year. The domestic market sales of 17780 excavators increased by 69.6% compared with the same period last year. The export sales of 1523 excavators increased by 95.3% compared with the same period last year. From January to May, a total of 105 935 excavation machinery products were sold, an increase of 60.2% compared with the same period last year. Domestic market sales increased by 57.7% compared with the same period last year, while export sales increased by 103.9% compared with the same period last year.

Industry insiders said that excavator sales in May had reached a record high in the same period, and based on the historical data of the first five months of recent years, excavator sales in the whole year are expected to refresh the record. In the domestic market, the demand sustainability of infrastructure, real estate, municipal engineering and other aspects is good, and the future domestic sales growth is certainty. On the other hand, whether in May or January to May, the cumulative export sales growth rate is significantly higher than that of the domestic market, maintaining a "high jump" state, showing that the competitiveness of domestic construction machinery in overseas has been continuously improved. Under the background of the resurgence of the global construction machinery industry, the countries along the "one belt and one road" have been superimposed. The potential of the market is expected to inject sustained power into the overall development of the industry.
